This is the time of year that we get the most butterflies in the Butterfly Garden.
I have to say that aside from ladybugs, these are the only other insects that don't make me cringe,
beautiful aren't they?
I can't help, but to grab my camera and photograph there beauty.
Do you have butterflies in your area?

Rooms That Inspire

I love the color used here for this lovely entrance by adding the blue bench.
I have had these photos in my files for a while,
I love the look of each room and hope that it serves as inspiration
to you as it does for me.
Unfortunately I don't know the source for these photos,
perhaps some may be found on Pinterest and others on Google.
Peaceful retreat.
Hope that you enjoy these as much as I do, I love the simplicity of each room.
Do you have any favorite rooms that inspire you?

Photo of the Day

I wouldn't mind waking up to this scene every morning, beautiful isn't it?
What is your favorite scenery?

Neuschwanstein Castle

I have been feeling somewhat blue lately. So I decided to look back on my travels because it makes me feel thankful, grateful and happy for the experiences in my life.
(unknown photographer)

Isn't this breath taking?  I remember when I first saw it, I was captivated by it's beauty and enamored by the breath taking panorama.  The scene was right out of a fairy tale story.

During the time that Mr. M and I lived in Germany, we visited as many castles as we were able to find.  This one of course is my favorite, the Neuschwanstein Castle.

I was fascinated by every angle of this castle.  No matter what bridge, valley or mountain you found yourself in, the view was spectacular.  We visited this castle a few times, we went during the winter and also the Spring.

(unknown photographer)

This famous castle is the most photographed in Germany.  The inside of the castle is just as beautiful!

Did you know that Walt Disney was so impressed by it that he modeled Sleeping Beauty's castle after the Neuschwanstein?

King Ludwig’s castles are considered very young or "new" when compared to the many other castles in Bavaria, Germany. It was built in the late 1800’s, and it was “Mad” King Ludwig II who built Neuschwanstein castle, as well as Linderhof castle and Herrenchiemsee castle. The Neuschwanstein castle was going to be a private retreat for the reclusive King Ludwig II of Bavaria, but sad to say, he died before it was completed.  His death remains a mystery.  Read more about him here.

The Bridge...
..intimidating isn't it?  Well you will have to see it up close to get a feel for it.  It's higher than you think.

If you ever find yourself in Bavaria, Germany, be sure to visit this beautiful castle, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
Hope you enjoyed!

Snow Photos

I am missing the snow!  I'm in the South, no snow here!  But it does get really cold at times.  I have posted pictures of beautiful snow scenes taken by random photographers, (I don't know their names) but they are so magical that I wish to jump right into these lovely scenes!

I hope that you enjoy them as much as I have.

Blurry Lights

There is nothing like the soothing sound of an autumn rainfall.
I love how the rain drops on the branches were captured in this picture.
Would you like to shoot photos like this too?
Here is a tip:  To get those big, beautiful, blurry lights,
use your lens with the lowest aperture value.
If you want to play with shapes, make your own Bokeh/ Vignette.
To create your own bokeh/ vinetting effect read DIY Photography-bokeh
and learn about this whole blurry light process.
Now with the Holidays approaching, you can capture your own amazing pictures
using festive lights. Have fun and hope that you enjoyed this tip.

I've been to a few places here and there, but I have to say that this is my absolute favorite place in the whole world.  The moment you step out of the car, it is breath taking, not to mention the many cute sheep around the area.  I've seen some incredible places in my lifetime, but nothing like this.  This is Mont St. Michel in France,  after a certain hour, the tide comes in and surrounds the place, so it looks like a tiny island.  To learn more about this beautiful construction go here.  Thank you Hugette and Louis for letting us stay at your bed & breakfast, you are wonderful.
