Recently I came across this video profile of interior designer and Instagram star Lori Andrews. She draws her inspiration from colors, patterns, and Wonder Woman (yes, the comic book hero!). In fact she even has a Wonder Woman costume of her own.  She is a great inspiration when it comes to being creative.

I have thought about placing my creative work in a book.  I have already created a memory book and think that a book featuring handmade items will be a fun thing to do. It is an excellent way to gain more exposure to the blog and handmade shop.  I have also considered recording the progress of updates in our home; although it is a very, very slow process, it is nice to have a book with all the before and afters. 

This is something that can be wonderful for a blog, online shop, crafters, painters, artists, home makeovers, or just family photos and all creative minds.  I love this idea because you are the artist, the illustrator, writer, photographer even. Blurb has had the opportunity to help create this artist's work in his own book.

Let me share a little inspiration with you and see if you get any great ideas for your own book.

Mostafa Keyhani is an extraordinary painter. Drawing from the Impressionist tradition, his work is alive with color and texture as he uses thin washes, areas of bare canvas, and thick impasto to impart an expression of organic life. While his paintings fetch high prices in galleries across the United States and Canada, his self-published books give each of his fans a chance to own his art. Keyhani is a Canadian resident born in Iran, and has had a journey as fantastic as his art. In this video, Blurb captures a glimpse at Keyhani's remarkable creative process. How to Clean Grout on Floor Tiles

Have I ever told you how much I dislike grout?  The reason I do not like grout is because it is very porous and a lot of dirt gets trapped in it.  After trying several different products, methods, and DIY recipes, I found that white distilled vinegar works wonders on "my floor".  It may not work for everyone, due to the type of grout that may be in place.  My grout had a light seal.

After trying one product for cleaning my iron, I should have known that one simple product would do the trick on my grout. All I used to clean the grout was a small old brush,  a rag, a small container to pour your vinegar in, and the white vinegar.


This is what I started with, dirt, dirt, and more dirt.  I grabbed an old toothbrush and a plastic cup to dip my brush and begun brushing the grout. The wonderful thing is, vinegar evaporates rather quickly, so there is no residue and no big mess.

Look at that!!  Got to love natural products for cleaning.  Can you see the difference below with the cleaned section and the dirty section?  It's magic!  The only bad thing about this is that your grout will get dirty again over time and may have to do this again just like cleaning anything in your home.  I love that there is no chemical odor. Bleach gives me a headache and other products trigger my asthma, so this is my to go cleaning grout product.
