How to Make a Wall Vase

How to Make a Wall Vase
Prepare your home for spring by creating this look.  I came across this wonderful and easy tutorial for making your own wall vase from distant bloggers.
Give it a try and create your own, I know I am.

ONE
Get an empty jar and a piece of wood that is a bit larger than the jar.  Make sure the jar has a lip on the top. Paint the wood any color you like.

TWO
Position the jar on the wood and drill two holes on either side at the the base of the opening.

THREE
Wrap steel wire around the lip of the jar a few times and twist it once until it’s secure.  Position the jar so that it’s lined up on the wood and poke the ends through the small holes that you drilled.  Wrap them together in the back and clip any extra wire.

FOUR
Drill two additional holes at the top of the wood and wrap a second piece of steel wire through leaving a large loop at the top.  Twist the ends around the base and clip off the extra wire.

Add water and flowers then hang it up.  Dried or imitation flowers could also be used.
Hope you enjoy!

How to Make a Ribbon Chain Bracelet

Here are some inspirations.
Lets create shall we...

Grab some ribbon and random chains laying around your home and get
crafty by making your own bracelet.
No glue or sewing needed for this little project.
Take the ribbon and loop it into each ring creating this effect...
Once your chain and ribbon are looped, tie the ends to secure it.
You may layer it as seen here, or make it a one chain
wrap bracelet as the inspirations shown above.
You can add beads to make it interesting or add rhinestones.
Get creative and have fun with it!

Etsy Sale

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday!  Today I want to make an announcement regarding my little magnet shop.  As you know I have a little shop over at Etsy.  It has been open for almost a year now and unfortunately I have not been able to put a lot of time into it, so I have been thinking about what to do with it and I finally came to the conclusion of discontinuing making my glass magnets, at least for now.  I may re open it later on in the year.

It has been a fun and interesting experience, but life calls for more important things at the moment.  It makes me sad to have to put it aside.  I don't really have the support that I need to continue with my little hobby.  So with that said, I am hosting a private sale at the shop.  If you enter code: INSP10 you will receive 10% off  your purchase.  I hope that you take the time to stop by there and take a peek at what is currently available.  The shop will remain open until all items are gone.
Thank you for your support .

Katie Daisy Art

I would describe Katie Daisy Lombardo's artwork as bright, colorful, invigorating, beautiful, happy, natural, a breath of fresh air...
These delightful paintings boost my inner happiness as I gaze into every stroke of color, that seem soft, soothing and flowing from a cottage spring garden.

Katie Daisy is an illustrator that enjoys all of nature.  She is an artist with a love for all things rural.  She works using watercolor as well as acrylics and other materials.  She has her own Etsy shop where she sells her artwork. You can also visit her blog KatieDaisyArt which by the way has amazing illustrations and photos.

I am so in love with her artwork, that I just had to share it with you.  Once again, a beautiful find, at least in my book, to inspire you and know where to find charming art.

Sweet Temptations

Note to Self:
If you wish to stop eating sweets, then keep them away.

This is what happens when you desire to eat healthier and perhaps lose weight, you find donuts in the house.

Neuschwanstein Castle

I have been feeling somewhat blue lately. So I decided to look back on my travels because it makes me feel thankful, grateful and happy for the experiences in my life.
(unknown photographer)

Isn't this breath taking?  I remember when I first saw it, I was captivated by it's beauty and enamored by the breath taking panorama.  The scene was right out of a fairy tale story.

During the time that Mr. M and I lived in Germany, we visited as many castles as we were able to find.  This one of course is my favorite, the Neuschwanstein Castle.

I was fascinated by every angle of this castle.  No matter what bridge, valley or mountain you found yourself in, the view was spectacular.  We visited this castle a few times, we went during the winter and also the Spring.

(unknown photographer)

This famous castle is the most photographed in Germany.  The inside of the castle is just as beautiful!

Did you know that Walt Disney was so impressed by it that he modeled Sleeping Beauty's castle after the Neuschwanstein?

King Ludwig’s castles are considered very young or "new" when compared to the many other castles in Bavaria, Germany. It was built in the late 1800’s, and it was “Mad” King Ludwig II who built Neuschwanstein castle, as well as Linderhof castle and Herrenchiemsee castle. The Neuschwanstein castle was going to be a private retreat for the reclusive King Ludwig II of Bavaria, but sad to say, he died before it was completed.  His death remains a mystery.  Read more about him here.

The Bridge...
..intimidating isn't it?  Well you will have to see it up close to get a feel for it.  It's higher than you think.

If you ever find yourself in Bavaria, Germany, be sure to visit this beautiful castle, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
Hope you enjoyed!
