 I was inspired to make these lovely glass magnets by this poem.

Christmas Angels

Reach for an angel high on a star;
She sends you Christmas wherever you are,
Bringing you laughter and faith so supreme,
Touching your heart with a beautiful dream.

Peace and goodwill in each loving home,
Beauty and magic so surely your own.
Sweet Christmas angels - moments of love,
Part of the wonder God sends from above.

Santa and children - this wonderful day,
Hope for tomorrow in words that we pray,
Tree reaching tall - such a beautiful sight,
Music we treasure is heard on the night.

Bless you, my dear ones, this so holy time;
May God's richest blessings forever be thine,
Glad tidings I send you across every mile
Along with a faith to make each day worthwhile.

Yellow Magnets-NEW!

Mr. M is sick and now my little man is too, not so much with a cold,

but my little guy is having his first asthma flare up since the surgery.

I just returned from the doctors office and he mentioned that several
people are flaring up due to the change in weather.  My asthma has flared up a bit too.
But I'm trying to get the whole gang back to health.  Sleepless nights have begun.
 I hope that it won't last long.

In the mean time, I have finished off these beautiful magnets. 

 I am so in love with this yellow damask design. 

I am currently finishing off some push pins and from the looks of it, 

it may be the last batch, not sure yet. Things have been a bit rough and

with the cold front right in our area, well things are looking rather ugly

for my little family.  Medicine, soup and lots of TLC are at hand.

New: Serenity Prayer Necklace

Greetings all!  As you are well aware, I had posted my Serenity Prayer collection in my shop, but they are gone,  yes that fast!  So I have another one for you.

Today I have posted this lovely and simple necklace at the Inspirations by D shop.

I have really enjoyed making these.  

This lovely pendant is unique only because the bail is on it's opposite side to show the peace sign.

The oval pendant measures 1" x 1.5" with a clear and smooth surface.

It is sealed with a glass like sealant in the back and is held by a gold plated ball chain of 18 inches.

Serenity Prayer Pendant

I have pulled out all of my remaining supplies from my craft closet
and I have been working on a few items for the Inspirations by D shop.
Here is just one sample of what's coming next week.

I will have more pendants with the same Serenity Prayer,

Packaging Ideas

My shop remains open and as an online shop owner, I want to have pretty and presentable packaging 

for my customers. The presentation that I give is as important as my product.

I have changed the look of my packages a couple of times since I opened my shop.

Thanks to this site for helpful hints for handmade shop owners, I finally narrowed down what 

I was aiming for, a simple, clean and professional look.

I wanted to brand my items, so I invested in some plain stickers and printed out my own labels. 

I took the colors that I use in the shop banner and blog design and applied it to the labels and ribbons.

 Adding business cards with contact information to your packages is important to keep 

the buyer informed of where they made their purchase.

I also use an Eco friendly natural box for packaging.

The items that are purchased are packaged with care,

so that upon arrival, the buyer receives everything in one piece.

If you are shipping fragile items, make sure you wrap your items well to protect it during shipping.

Decorative Push Pins are Back!

Look at these lovelies!  I've been a busy bee making these push pins and let me just tell you, it is a waiting process.  Before I can complete each step, I have to wait for the adhesive to dry completely and that takes a full day.  These are not like others you have seen, oh no.  These are sealed in the back to prevent the pin from coming apart and it gives it a finished look.

Random Ramblings

ONE

Hello all, I hope that you had a wonderful weekend.  I had a productive one myself.  My husband and I have been working on our little hallway nook project and I cannot wait to add the finishing touches.  There are a few things that I need to get before it's complete.  I will post all about it once we are done.  Do you have any projects that you are working on?

As for the photo above, do you like it?  It is a Chalkboard Pendant Necklace.  I just had to make it, I couldn't resist.  It is certainly a conversational piece.  I will be adding this piece to my shop later on today.  If you like it, drop by the shop where you will see more photos.  I may be be adding more, in silver and other finished materials later this month and the key word is may because I'm not quite sure yet.

I mentioned that I was closing the shop, but until everything is gone, it will continue to remain open.  I have been digging around my craft closet and have found a few things that I need to post in the shop so stay tuned.

My little one will begin kindergarten in only a few weeks.  We are all excited about it.  I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous about the whole thing, but that will be another post.

Round Glass Pendant Necklace

This is one of my favorite items at Inspirations by D at Etsy, a beautiful piece handcrafted in glass with a star-burst charm.

I love it's simplicity and the vivid color it displays with the wide and narrow webbing of a rich rose almost flourishing a bright hue of red.  It's a burst of design that whispers, "wear me"!
