Labor Day Weekend

Here is my collection of random musings to help make interesting the mundane.

1- Happy Labor Day everyone!  I am so thankful this weekend because I have been able to have my family united under the same roof for three days.  Yippee!!  My little boy couldn't be happier and quite frankly I am up there in joy land with him.  We look forward to the weekends, just so that we can spend that time together as a family.  Hopefully the long distance thing won't last for long, with God's divine assistance, we can finally be together by the end of the month.

2- This wonderful and blessed weekend, my Savior let me know that things were going to be okay, "Trust in him" is what I kept feeling in my heart, "Trust in him" and not on the things of this world, because nothing in this world is certain, but he is certainty.   Oh how wonderful.  Now I leave you with my loving husband.
  Me!

3- Isn't she sweet?!  As my wife has stated, I too am very happy for the long weekend and that by the end of the month we will be together again and not just on the weekends.

4- Labor Day!  Since it's called that, why are we off?  It should be the only day we do work in the entire year. :)  Hey, We'll take a day off even if they call it "pick your nose" day right?

5-  Right now, I have my little tornado making play-doh characters of little R2-D2's from Star Wars, but not just any Star Wars. "THE ORIGINAL STAR WARS" from the late 70's early 80's.  He loves it and I love that he does.  I have to teach him "the way" if you get my drift. ;) We are watching part one of the original movie now.

6-  Speaking of things of the past, I've recently noticed the fashion trends coming back around full circle.  Just yesterday we saw some teenagers with a pair of Shell Top Adidas with the fat laces untied.  I used to wear those in Junior HS and I'm thirty-blah-blah years old.  Hey, I still rock the original canvas Converse Chuck Taylor high tops from time to time.
7-  Growing up in NYC, we saw a lot of fashion trends come and go.  Now they have come back again and I can't help but to smile and accept the changes like our parents have done.

8-  My little padawan just finished his army of R2 droids and a remote control, I guess to control them.  I hope everyone has enjoyed their Labor Day weekend.  Please be safe and God Bless!

{ONE}  Good Morning  everyone!  I'm not doing well this morning, at all, so I'm going to tag team with my hubbie and he is going to write my Miscellany Monday from his perspective.  Show him love and comment on what he writes.  I am off to have my tea and lay down.  Have a wonderful Monday and a warm welcome to my new readers.  I'm so happy to see you here and will visit you all as soon as I start feeling better. Me!
Now here's Mikey my love & best friend.

  {TWO}  Umm...good morning everyone.  While my beautiful wife takes time to rest and hopefully get back on her feet, I've decided to take a day off from work to help with our 4 year old "tornado" and whatever she needs me to do.  Our little one did not go to school today either due to his asthma/cold  which has been an issue this past weekend.

  {THREE}  If you haven't been told, my wife and I have known each other since the 1st grade.  We were both raised in Brooklyn, NY but took different paths in life in our teenage years until we were, by design from the Lord above, to meet up again in our early 20's to remain together forever...together 14 years now, married 11.  I AM VERY FORTUNATE to have her as my partner in life and VERY HAPPY!

  {FOUR}  I am a helicopter instructor pilot for the army working in Alabama, which makes this very tough because we live in Florida.  I commute 280 miles one-way every weekend to see my lovely family and we are praying that something falls into place whereby we will stop this "being apart thing".  It has to deal with the housing market which, unless you have been secluded in a cave somewhere, understand that I don't have to go into detail.  :)

  {FIVE}  These are trials that has been set forth for a reason but has made us a stronger unit throughout.  I pray that either I can find something here in Jacksonville so we won't have to move or someone buys this home so we can be together in Alabama.  Either way, it doesn't matter to me as long as we are together right?

  {SIX}  I would like to say thank you to all for making this what I would call "a place of serenity and support" for my wife.  She is constantly saying how wonderful the people who comment and support her are. That makes me happy to know that.  That she is not alone in times where we sometimes feel we are, although we know that we are not because of our Father above.

{SEVEN}At any rate, I hope I didn't bore you too much.  First time doing this and just wanted to help.  Thank you all again.    Have a great week.

Monday Musings

On this Monday morning I am sharing my random post to help make interesting the mundane, here I go;

{1}

I am so tired this morning, it is the first day of pre-school and last night I returned from a 4.5 hour drive, (9 hours in total) to look at a house that my husband is interested in.  I did manage to get something done though, I finished a few butterfly pendant necklaces and posted them in my shop.  Go check them out!

{2}
I have no words on this random Monday, my brain is on overload, but look at these cute Shabby Chic glass magnets from Etsy.

{3}
Today is the first day of school for my little one.  We are so excited!  He looks adorable with his cute little back pack.  Today I will also have a meeting with a Property Manager to sign my life away in the hope of finding  good tenant(s).  It is such a frightening  thing, not knowing if your property will be taken care of  after putting so much into it, but what can you do in a market like this?  I am so stressed with this whole thing trying to sell, trying to rent, trying to find a place in our new location, all stress, so...

{4}

My little guy and I went to our favorite place.  Oh yes and what fun we always have!

Thank you for stopping by and leaving your comments, they make me feel so much better!

{One} I am a bit sad this morning because Mr. M returned to work after spending a week with me during my surgery and helping take care of me during my recovery.  He is working out of state and the separation has been so difficult for us all.

{Two} On the other hand, I am thankful that my mother can be with me during this time of recovery, it is harder than I thought, I'm in pain everyday and the medications sometimes make me feel sick if I am not laying down.

{Three} So I got up this morning feeling awful, but I have to be up for my little boy, he is sad as well and needs his mommy.  He'll feel better later, hopefully as the day goes by.

{Four} I could not stay away from you all, I had to come and sit and write something random and just hope that your lovely comments will fill me with joy and help me recover quicker, it makes me happy when I read from you, helps during this tough period. Well I wish you all a happy week and I am off to read your random Monday posts.

{Five} Oh dear, my poor mom, just had to share this little last thing,  she asked me if I have nail polish remover and I told her where it's located, as well  as a cotton ball, she comes back and was removing her polish and said, oh dear this doesn't come off, your sister gave me two coats and it  does not come off.  So I turned around and smelled it and it was rubbbing alcohol,  " Mom, No wonder it does not come off, you got the wrong thing"  we could not stop laughing.  Hope you enjoy!
